Top Team Effectiveness
Client: FTSE 100 Bank

THE CLIENT NEED
A functional senior leadership team of a large FTSE 100 services company were experiencing poor business results and a siloed workforce working well below their capability. The team itself was frustrated, jaded, and cracks between team members were beginning to show.
We were approached by the function’s Executive Director to help diagnose the problem, and get the Senior Leaders and wider team back on track.
THE WORK
We completed a diagnostic, including interviews, observation and reviewing minutes and key documents, which were discussed with the full senior leadership team to create an open and honest dialogue around the development agenda for the team and the function. Based on this, we facilitated a series of half day workshops focused on a range of topics including the teams common purpose, mind-sets and ways of working, transitioning to a high performing team, wider engagement and leadership, and the wider change agenda. We also facilitated the creation of a series of projects to resolve key issues in collaboration with the wider management team
EMBEDDING THE CHANGE
We coached the Executive Director, the Senior Leadership Team, and those supporting them to work in a different way. New ways of working were expanded to the wider leadership team (top 40) via an engaging offsite, and through working collaboratively across silos on the development projects
RESULTS
Cohesive and effective group
Over the following six months the Senior Leadership Team became a far more cohesive and effective group and led the wider team with more pace and energy. The function started to work more effectively, and by the end of the year, the function exceeded their business plan and within two years were the top performing division in the company.
